Saints MARCHing in
This month you will find four more prayer cards to choose from on the E-Team table in the Gathering Space.
The first prayer is from Saint John of God, who is the patron of those suffering with heart disease. His feast day is celebrated on March 8 .
March 9 is the feast day of Saint Frances of Rome, who is the patron of drivers because, according to legend, her path was always lit by an angel. Her prayer will inspire us to persevere in serving God.
The Feast of Saint Joseph, the husband of Mary, is listed on our liturgical calendar on March 20 this year because March 19 is the Fourth Sunday of Lent. This is an annual celebration in honor of Saint Joseph, who was the foster father of Jesus Christ. Because of his blessed death, assisted by Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph is the patron of a happy death.
On March 25 the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Annunciation. It is the biblical event we remember with the first Joyful Mystery of the Holy Rosary. The Annunciation commemorates the day when St. Gabriel the Archangel announced to Mary that she would conceive a Child by the Holy Spirit. Join Gabriel in prayer, singing the praises of God.
