Powerful Prayers

As a young Catholic I really only learned about a few of our great Saints. Besides knowing about Saint Christopher, through the medal on our car visor, and St. Anthony for coming to our aid for misplaced items, I did not learn about many others until choosing the one to fit my personality and spiritual goals at Confirmation.

Recently I was inspired to pray to St. Peregrine through a prayer card shared on the E-Team table in the Gathering Space. I learned that he is the patron saint of those suffering with cancer and other life threatening diseases. We can pray specifically to him for all who suffer from cancer and chronic diseases alike and for those who are supporting and taking care of those who are suffering right now. We can also raise our prayers directly to the Lord Jesus for anyone who is in need of his healing Grace. Look for this prayer card on the E-Team table to assist you with A Prayer for Healing:

Lord Jesus, look upon name(s) with eyes of mercy. May Your Healing rush upon (me, him, her). May Your life-giving power fill every cell of the body, and soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring health and wholeness for service in Your Kingdom. Amen.
